L’Institut Français
The Institut Français is the public institution responsible for promoting French culture internationally and fostering dialogue with foreign cultures. It supports digital creation by bringing out new talents, particularly in the context of its residency programs. It promotes the dissemination of French creations and know-how abroad and promotes international meetings and cooperation.
Les Ailleurs
Les Ailleurs is a label imagined by Fisheye that explores the new territories of writing in virtual reality and presents audiences with the best of contemporary immersive creation. As part of the Rencontres de la photographie d’Arles 2021, Les Ailleurs Arles presents the exhibition “Incarnation – When the image is thought in volume“. With new image creation technologies such as photogrammetry and LiDAR scanning, the photographic image becomes volume, space, experience. The “Incarnation” exhibition shows these new image-worlds, by presenting the work of a generation of artists who, with photographic means, fabricate virtual ecologies, avatars-portraits, hybrid bodies, embodied stories. The festival is organizing workshops for children and the fourth edition of the virtual reality writing residency from August 21 to 28 in Arles.
